Cape Reinga Tours Itinerary*
Visit Kauri Unearthed
*This venue is currently unavailable due to renovations until further notice
This is where our Cape Reinga Tour starts and ends. Admire ancient Kauri wood which has been preserved in swampland for millennia. As the oldest, workable wood in the world, ancient Kauri is only found in the top half of the North Island of New Zealand. Climb inside the massive Kauri staircase made out of one huge ancient Kauri tree trunk!
Picture perfect Cape Reinga
This tour is a must for photographers. Everywhere you point your camera, you will find a stunning shot. At 165 metres about sea level you get a unique perspective of the rare and awesome sight of two seas meeting.
Surf down a sand dune
For those of you who like to live on the wild side, take the opportunity to ride down one of the giant sand dunes at Te Paki Stream on a free of charge sand rider board.
90 Mile Beach
Ride along a stretch of wild, west coast beach. That’s right our buses drive along part of the famous 90 mile beach!
